Frozen Falls

Like now It’s Been VERY Cold in the Past at Niagara Falls

With temperatures ranging in the -30 Celsius I thought you might like to know we’ve had cold temperatures like this in the past.

Here are a few photos taken from my library.

In one image people frolic on the ice-bridge in the 1890’s below the American Falls. Another photograph of a very cold winter in 1937 and the third image is of the original Table Rock at the edge of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls is frozen over in the 1860’s.

Right now at Niagara it is a winter wonderland and you can get some spectacular pictures of our current ice-bridge and ice coated trees, walls and buildings.
