The 2014 Canadian National Dragon Boat Championships 
Dragon Boat Canada is thrilled to return to the Welland International Flatwater Centre for the 
Canadian Championships. The course is the finest in Canada with huge improvements taking 
place before the 2015 Pan American Games. You have the chance to reap the benefits before the 
rest of the region comes to race. 
As in previous years, International Entries are welcome. Contact the DBC office for membership 
and international eligibility information.

Welland International Flatwater Centre • Welland • ON • July 4-6, 2014 
 
Entry Fees: 
Fees are due at the time of registration. Early Bird registration closed April 30th, 2014 
 $80.00 per individual for the first crew – Premier, Senior Divisions (A, B and C), Blind and Partially Sighted (BPS) 
and Breast Cancer Survivor (BCS) divisions. 
 $50.00 Special Rate for Junior, U24 and University Division – unlimited entry in each Junior, U24 and University 
for eligible individuals 
 $25.00 for each additional crew (Premier, Senior (A,B and C), BPS and BCS. 
 Premier 
No restrictions 
Senior 
With the exception of the Drummer, all competitors must be aged 39 or 
over, on the 1st June, 2014 
 
Senior B (Grand Dragon) 
With the exception of the Drummer, all competitors must be aged 49 or 
over, on the 1st June, 2014 
 
Senior C (Great Grand Dragon) 
With the exception of the Drummer, all competitors must be aged 59 or 
over, on the 1st June, 2014 
 
Breast Cancer Survivor 
All competitors must Breast Cancer Survivors 
Blind and Partially Sighted 
All crew members must be at least 12 years of age or older on 1st June 
2014 in a given year. No gender restrictions. Drummer and Steersperson 
will be sighted. The number of sighted paddlers may equal but not exceed 
the number of BPS paddle

Thursday July 3: 
DBC Annual Meeting of Members, 19h30 Welland International Flatwater Centre 
 
Friday July 4: 
08h00 practice 
12h00 racing – All Mixed (including BPS) and BCS 500m and 2K 
 
Saturday July 5: 
08h00 – All unisex 500m and 2K 
 
Sunday July 6: 
07h00 – All 200m 
 
Practice 
Practice times are available on Friday morning. The practice schedule form is available on the last 
page of this information package. First priority is granted to crews from outside Ontario. Bookings 
will open up to Ontario crews on June 16
 
Equipment 
All races will take place using BuK standard dragon boats provided by GWN.
