The Frog Run all began in New England long ago. It was said that as the weather became warmer toward the end of the maple season, one would begin to hear frogs croaking throughout the night. This was the sign that the season was almost over and that the final sap run was at hand. And so it was that the last boil of the year was known throughout the land as the "Frog Run".
Join us on the last saturday of our spring season for a fun filled morning as children ages one to ten help us celebrate the end of syrup season with our annual "Frog Run". Similar to an Easter Egg Hunt, children will explore the yard and collect plastic toy frogs for some fun and fantastic frog and maple related prizes.
