About

The Marathon course is a Boston Qualifier

The start of the Run N Fun Marathon begins at 10:00am

There is a CAP of 1,500 participants in this event.

The Marathon starts in Buffalo, NY at the world famous Albright-Knox Art Gallery. All participants will have access inside to warm up and explore before the race.

One of few marathons in the world to start in one country and finish in another; the course is considered flat and fast and has hosted two USA men’s Olympic marathon trials, 1980 and 1984, along with the World Veteran’s Games marathon in 1995.

The first 5 miles of the race travel along the majestic parkway of Buffalo before crossing the Peace Bridge into the historic old town of Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. The course loops around Fort Erie and doubles back into the town, passing along River Road, continuing on the scenic Niagara Parkway for the next 18 miles; voted one of the most scenic Marathon’s in Canada, #1 in Ontario!

200 years ago, British and American troops fought up and down this area, but today it is an image of tranquility. On the river side of the course, the most notable landmarks are the Marina, boat launches, parks and picnic areas. By the time you reach the north end of Navy Island near Chippawa, the river is well over a mile wide.

Coming into Chippawa, the course bears left around an inlet and leads into the picturesque village. As you approach the turn you will see the billowing spray of Niagara Falls for the first time, as well as the first intake gates of the hydropower system that furnishes electricity to both countries. The course then moves back onto the majesty of the Parkway bringing you to the new finish line located in front of the Toronto Power Generating Station National Historic Site of Canada (for more information click here).

Upon completion of the 26.2 miles, you have arrived at the most famous Finish Line in the world the magnificent Niagara Falls!
