Join us as we commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Fort George! The fort will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm all weekend, with demonstrations happening throughout the day. Come and visit Fort George National Historic Site and enjoy music, muskets, cannons and more! Regular admission rates to the fort apply.
Saturday, May 25
2:00 pm — Re-enactment of the Battle of Fort George (Part 1). Join us as we recreate the initial stages of the Battle of Fort George. The battle re-enactment will take place on the Common just outside the fort. There is no admission fee to watch the battle.
9:00 pm — The Bombardment of Fort George. Two hundred years to the day, we will recreate the U.S. bombardment of Fort George. Join us for an amazing artillery, pyrotechnics, sound and light show that will end with a grand fireworks display.
Doors open at 8:00 pm. The show is general seating and lawn chairs are permitted. Regular admission rates apply, with a special package deal for those who would like to visit the fort during the day and attend the evening show.

Sunday, May 26
10:00 am — Parade through Historic Niagara-on-the-Lake. British and American soldiers will parade through the downtown of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
2:00 pm — Re-enactment of the Battle of Fort George (Part 2). Join us for the conclusion of the battle as British troops retreat out of the area and U.S. forces occupy Niagara. The battle re-enactment will take place on the Common just outside Fort George. There is no admission fee to watch the battle.
Monday, May 27
7:00 pm — Commemoration Ceremony. On the exact date, on the actual battlefield site (the Niagara Rifle Range, Lakeshore Properties), we will pay tribute to all who fell during the Battle of Fort George. This will be free to attend.
