That’s right, the temperature here in Niagara Falls has been around -10 Celsius (feels like -20 Celsius).

I bundled up warm yesterday morning and headed to the falls to look at what the cold weather has produced in and around the falls. It never disappoints. Ice has started to form around the many large rocks below the American Falls and neighbouring trees. Here are a few photographs to make my point.

When you want to warm up there are two places nearby that fit the bill. The NPC Floral Showhouse just above the Canadian Horseshoe Falls is the perfect spot to get warm and enjoy the flowers of summer Also not far downriver near the Rainbow Bridge is the Niagara Bird Aviary. You can remove your winter coats at both these locations.

Now, how’s that for variety.
