Some of you may know that Samuel Clemens ,also known as Mark Twain, lived and worked in the Niagara area between 1869 -71 as part owner and editor of the Buffalo Express. During his time here, he visited Niagara Falls Ontario and wrote a short story called Niagara about his visit and the people he met here. The story was published in 1893 in a little known collection of short stories.

I’ve learned former Niagara Falls Ontario resident Zack Schwartz has undertaken a project to write a 96 page graphic novel based on Twain’s book Niagara.

The book is slated to be released in July of next year.
