Spring Bloom Guide

APRIL

  • Daffodils: Cheerful yellow blooms appear throughout April, peaking around mid-month. Look for them along the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, Queen Victoria Park (Clifton Hill to Murray Street), and in various Niagara Parks locations.
  • Magnolias: Magnificent pink and white flowers bloom from mid to late April. Visit the Magnolia Allée outside the Floral Showhouse, in front of the Niagara Parks Police building, and at the Botanical Gardens.
  • Cherry Trees: Delicate pink and white blossoms emerge from mid-April through early May. Find them lining the Niagara Parkway at Kingsbridge Park, Falls Parking Lot, Rapidsview Parking Lot, Queenston Heights Park picnic field, and near the entrance of the Botanical Gardens.
  • Tulips: Early tulip varieties start showing colour by mid-April.

JUNE AND BEYOND

  • Roses: The first flush of roses begins in early June and continues throughout the summer. Visit the Rose Gardens in Queen Victoria Park (south of the Police station) and at the Botanical Gardens.
  • Canna Lilies and Annual Display Beds: Bold and colorful displays appear from mid-June through the summer, peaking around the Table Rock Welcome Centre and the Zimmerman Fountain.
