Visiting Niagara with Pets

This information is intended for visitors traveling with pets and does not apply to service animals.

Traveling with your doggo? You might be wondering where you can go with your furry friend. Dogs on leash are allowed on all public areas, sidewalks, and the Niagara Parkway so long as they are well behaved and their owners pick up after them. For accommodations, there are many places that welcome pets with open arms!

All pets crossing the border must have had their rabies vaccine and proof of the vaccine on hand. While most attractions do not allow pets, several of our accommodation members are pet-friendly - please call each property for specifics on their policy.

Feel like going shopping? The Outlet Collection at Niagara is a dog friendly outdoor shopping centre. Please look for the dog friendly stickers on the outside of all participating stores.

Does your doggo need some exercise? The City of Niagara Falls offers two dog parks:

  • Niagara Falls Dog Park at Firemen's Park (2275 Dorchester Road at Mountain Road).
  • Niagara Falls Bark Park at the Niagara Falls Humane Society (6025 Chippawa Parkway, near Stanley Avenue)

Please see the City of Niagara Falls website for complete rules on its dog parks.

Planning a full day of activities? There are boarding and doggy day care facilities within the Niagara Region that will ensure that both you and your pup can fully enjoy the day without worry!

Additionally, you can visit our website for everything else you might need to plan your trip!
