Willow Tree
An Interesting Looking Tree
Have you ever seen a Willow tree like the one attached to this blog?
Len Ruegg Manager of Central Parks, Niagara Parks Commission tells me it’s probably a “salix babylonica” or we would know it as a weeping willow. This tree is most likely 50-60 years old. Len says “judging by the marks on the trunk, it’s seen some injuries in the past…most likely inflicted by humans.” seems to enjoy its home as willows love water” The lighter spot on the trunk at about eye level looks like some small critter has been thinking of making a home in the trunk.
This willow found on Dufferin Islands seems to enjoy its home as they love water and what a better place to be.
