Twilight Jazz & Blues Series: Black History Celebrations ft Cinnamon Jones & Quincy Bullen Band presents an electrifying tribute, ‘The Lady of Song’, celebrating the legacy of iconic Black female singers. Through soulful renditions and powerful storytelling, Cinnamon Jones honours the voices of legends like Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, and Ella Fitzgerald. This performance is a heartfelt journey through music history, showcasing the resilience, artistry, and impact of these trailblazing women.
Quincy Bullen is a multi-talented pianist, producer, DJ, and performer whose infectious energy and eclectic jazz, R&B and soul fusion has earned him a devoted following. As a classically trained musician with a background in jazz, Quincy puts his own contemporary twist on musical genres by blending funk, electronic, hip hop and house.
ABOUT BLACK HISTORY GUEST SPEAKER SALADIN ALLAH
Saladin Allah is the founder of the Atlantis School for Gifted Youngsters, the Director of Community Engagement at the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center, the Public Art Project Coordinator for the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area, and the third great grandson of freedom seeker Josiah Henson, whose story served as the inspiration for the famous novel, Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
