Tesla Fest is an annual International Festival commemorating Tesla's birthday on a provincial level in Ontario. It originated from the vision of a Serbian school, "Nikola Tesla," and came to fruition on July 10th, 2010, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The festival aims to illuminate Tesla's life, inventions, and profound impact on modern society. The festival's genesis coincided with Tesla's historic breakthrough in 1895 when he pioneered the alternating current (AC) electrical system and constructed the first hydroelectric power plant in Niagara Falls. This achievement revolutionized electricity generation and distribution, marking a significant technological advancement.

July 10th was officially declared "Nikola Tesla Day" by Mayor Jim Diodati in 2015 and later enacted into law across Ontario by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Violet Elizabeth Dowdeswell, in 2021.

Over the years, Nikola Tesla Day has evolved into Tesla Fest, a festival of broader scope and significance. Tesla Fest celebrates Tesla's brilliant mind through thematic activities and initiatives spread across multiple days and locations. It fosters inclusivity by bringing together attendees who share an appreciation for Tesla's scientific innovation and exploration.
Tesla Fest promises an unforgettable fusion of knowledge, inspiration, entertainment, and community. It invites everyone to explore Tesla's profound legacy amidst the majestic backdrop of Niagara Falls.

Tesla Fest 2024 will feature the Tesla Legacy Conference on July 12th, 2024, at Niagara Power Station from 7 pm-10 pm, and Nikola Tesla Day, a celebration of Tesla's birthday, on July 13th, 2024, at Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls from 6 pm - 11 pm. We will also create the "Tesla Electrical Circuit," allowing every participant and visitor to become part of a larger, meaningful entity dedicated to Tesla's life and work.
