For the past 30 or so years I’ve been taking Sunday afternoon walks in mid-August in Queen Victoria Park. The walks are always in the afternoon.

 

I take along a camera and photograph things along the parapet (stone wall) from the Rainbow Bridge to the foot of Murray Hill. I then walk back on the opposite side of the Niagara Parkway towards Clifton Hill. Some day when I am no longer on this planet people might enjoy looking at the way things were in the park at the latter part of the 20th and early 21st century. All my files and photographs have been willed to the local history department of the Niagara Falls Library.
