A Little About The Falls Incline Railway
One of the most convenient ways to get to and from the Canadian Horseshoe Falls / Table Rock Centre and the Fallsview area is the Falls Incline Railway. This is a funicular railway with fully accessible enclosed cars that accommodate 40 people per car.
A railway has been located here since 1966. In 2012 a new updated system was installed and opened in August of 2013. This double-track railway takes about 2 minutes to travel up and down a hill that offers a superb view of the Falls. Unlimited all-day tickets cost $7.00. The ride remains open year-round between 8 a.m. and midnight.
In the Fallsview area you’ll find numerous hi-rise hotel, restaurants and the Scotiabank Convention Centre. At Table Rock you’ll have an excellent view of the Falls and the popular Journey Behind the Falls attraction. This is one of the best spots to view the illumination of the Falls and fireworks over the falls. Connections can be made here for the WEGO Transportation System, which connect visitors with all of the major tourist destinations across Niagara Falls for a minimal fee.
