Mount Carmel A Niagara Falls Hidden Gem
Not too far from the Canadian Horseshoe Falls at 7021 Stanley Avenue is a majestic stone building originally built in the 1870’ to accommodate young men preparing for the priesthood. Since that time, the building has undergone numerous additions and uses. Today it serves as a spiritual centre for all religious denominations. Check out the beautiful chapel and its monastic simplicity.
Mount Carmel is open daily 9-5 p.m. and admission is free, so is the parking. How’s that for a deal! Here’s a few photographs I recently took when I re-visited this Niagara hidden gem.
