The Miracle at Niagara Falls is recalled

It was 56 years ago on July 9th that a seven year old boy as a result of an accident went over The Canadian Horseshoe Falls wearing only a life-jacket survived the plunge with only minor scratches. At the same time, his teenage sister was miraculously rescued by two tourists who plucked her out of the Niagara River at the edge of the Niagara River at Terrapin Point in Niagara Falls N.Y. Both survived. The operator of the small boat that had developed an engine problem above the falls did not.

A few months ago, Roger Woodward, who is now 63, and his sister Deanne returned to the falls to tell about his experience.
