The Best Hands-on Museum in Upper Canada Mackenzie Printery & Newspaper Museum in Queenston is a place that played a brief, but important role in Canadian history. The beautiful limestone building was the home of William Lyon Mackenzie and from here he began his career as publisher and agitator for political reform.

Located in the pleasant village of Queenston, just off the scenic Niagara Parkway. A short walk away from Queenston Heights Park and a short walk away from the Bruce Trail and the Niagara River Recreation Trail. The main floor only of this historic building is wheelchair accessible and there is free visitor parking.

The fort is steeped deep in history as a military post that defended Upper Canada against American attacks. Drummond Hill Cemetery is a nationally recognized heritage site. It is most famously known as the battle grounds of the "Battle of Lundy's Lane", as well as the burial site of Laura Secord. Christopher Buchner purchased 400 acres of land from his father-in-law, James Forsythe, in 1799 and used the top of the hill as a burial ground. It later became the site of a fierce battle between the British and the Americans in 1814. The area became known as Drummond Hill, in honour of General Drummond.

The Battle of Chippawa, fought on July 5th 1814, was the opening engagement of the Niagara campaign of 1814, the longest and bloodiest military operation of the War of 1812. The battle took place on the fields of Samuel Street's farm near the banks of the Niagara River.
