Disassembling perceived traditional expectations and assumptions while providing a lens of queer thinking and empowerment. Natasha Apsitis is a St. Catharines based openly queer Educational Assistant. As a graduate of the Fanshawe College Child & Youth Work program, Natasha transitioned from working within specialized foster care to become an employee of DSBN with a centered focus on alternative education. Natasha works in the specialized RISE program with secondary aged youth, in hopes of integrating high school students into programs that best service their individualized needs.
