Fans of classic soul and R&B are in for a special treat as The Spinners, one of the most iconic groups in American music, bring their remarkable sound to the Avalon Theatre. The Spinners are an iconic R&B group with a career spanning over six decades, recently honoured with a 2023 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Known for defining the smooth Philly Soul sound, their classic hits like “I’ll Be Around,” “Could It Be I’m Falling In Love,” and “The Rubberband Man” have topped charts across Pop, R&B, and Adult Contemporary, earning them six Grammy nominations, 18 Platinum and Gold albums, and millions of record sales.

Originally from Detroit’s Motown scene, The Spinners found massive success after joining Atlantic Records in 1972, collaborating with producer Thom Bell. Their music has crossed generations, cementing them as pioneers of the “MotownPhilly” sound. With beloved singles like “Working My Way Back to You” and albums such as Love Trippin and Labor of Love, they’ve remained a cultural staple.
