Marilyn Monroe and Niagara Falls
In 1998 I published a small book called, “Marilyn Monroe and the Making of Niagara”. It had to do with the filming of the technicolour movie, “Niagara” in June of 1952.The book is no longer in print but I still get regular requests for copies of the book.
What I’ll do to satisfy some of those people who are curious about the filming is once in a while attach a few of the original photographs from my collection taken of Marilyn at the falls.
Here’s one taken by photographer Edwin Hodge of Marilyn in front of Table Rock Gift Shop near the brink of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. The candid shot was taken from the outside balcony of the gift shop.
Note the Niagara Falls police car and also how bored the film crew seems to be.
