The Jolly Cut is a rustic pathway that is located at the foot of Robinson Street near the Skylon in Niagara Falls. When you descent the pathway you enter Queen Victoria Park opposite the American Falls.

The story is that many years ago the clerk at the Brunswick Hotel (long abandoned) was asked what the name of that pathway is. Being originally from England the clerk, said, “That’s Jolly Cut”. It stuck. To this day the Jolly Cut still exists. The top half of the cut belongs to the City of Niagara Falls. The lower half is owned by The Niagara Parks Commission. There is an agreement in place that allows the pathway to be maintained by the NPC.
