We believe Ravine is truly unique; perhaps it’s because of our approach to family. Our goal was to create a sustainable way to maintain our 100+ year-old farm located on St. Davids bench in Niagara-on-the-lake and continue to foster the legacy of our family upon it. For 5 generations the Lowrey family has grown grapes in the soil of one of the oldest commercial vineyards in the area. Known in the past as the Upper Lowrey Farm, this family winery sits atop the ancestral Niagara River that raged 22,000 years ago crafting small-batch organic VQA wines. On our journey we have attracted some great people and extended our passionate family. The result is not only great wines from our mother, Lowrey Farm, but also a wonderful lifestyle that we are eager and proud to share. We welcome you to visit and ponder the rich history of the terroir while enjoying a glass of wine on the patio.
We are among the few self-standing restaurants in the area that bake our own bread, raise our own pigs, and grow our own certified organic vegetables while pairing our meals with the guidance and discriminating palate of a winemaker. Considered one of the top 20 winery restaurants in the world, we are blessed with a renowned culinary team that chooses an ever-changing menu. With a variety of ingredients picked right from our garden, Chef Proprietor and Brand Manager Paul Harber and Chef John Vetere not only create seasonal menus but also preserve as much as possible so that going local is not just a seasonal term. We are extremely proud of our service team and confident in the level of hospitality that will be shown to your table whenever you choose to dine with us at Ravine.
